Pastor Andrew Frey
Pastor Andrew Frey, a 2002 NELHS grad, returned to Nebraska Lutheran in 2021 after serving congregations in Standish, Michigan (for 6 1/2 years), and Appleton, Wisconsin (4 1/2 years). Pastor Frey graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2010 and from Martin Luther College in 2006. In 2007 Pastor married his high school sweetheart (also a 2002 NELHS grad), Kimberly (nee Aaberg). Kim is currently teaching Kindergarten and first grade at St. Paul's in Plymouth. Together they have three kids: Noah, who is at NELHS, and Micah and Cecelia, who attend Trinity Lutheran Grade School across the street. Pastor Frey is a die-hard fan of all things Huskers, which is how he spends any free time he may have.
Pastor Frey is our Campus Pastor, which means he is in charge of our daily chapels and serves as a spiritual counselor for both students and teachers. He is also our Dean of Students, which has him involved with the supervision of the dorms and their tutors as well as disciplinary actions. Pastor teaches all four of our religion classes as well as Bible Information Class, as the need arises. He is the head football coach in the fall and is the sprinters coach for the track team in the spring. On top of those duties, Pastor Frey serves as the International Coordinator as well as the Congregational Visitor (preaching for KRT Sundays and other NELHS Sundays, and helping Mr. Beagle with NELHS presentations at local WELS grade schools).
